There are so many benefits that are given by Government of India for promotion of Entrepreneurship and “Make in India”. However, even many entrepreneurs lack awareness on the same. So, in this part of article, we will cover details about a recent tie-up that is going to be very beneficial for women entrepreneurs. Further, in this series we will cover discussions on various other kinds of such initiatives.
The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) is a portal which brings women entrepreneurs across the world together. On the other hand, TransUnion CIBIL is one of the credit rating agencies of India. It is a leading agency which has 600 million individual files and 32 million business files. It was established in 2000 and has headquarters in Mumbai.
Now, both these organizations have joined hands to work for the benefit of women entrepreneurs. They will provide financial literacy to women. Which means the beneficiaries are guided from scratch on how to raise fund, from where to raise the same, at what rate of interest etc. All their finance related questions would be answered at one place. Moreover:
- They will be trained on business skills and acumen.
- They will be guided on CIBIL ranking and commercial reports. Proper information through seminars, online programs would be given on how CIBIL score affects the business and how one can increase their score.
- Better access to credit facilities to women will be given.
This initiative is called seher. Shortly, an online portal may also be launched where women entrepreneurs can enroll themselves. It is yet to be seen what modus operandi will be adopted.
